I don't like the idea of requiring players to have a minimum number of ABs or Innings pitched to qualify for the ML draft. I can think of a few players I want to bid on that have less than 150 abs and will be starting this year. As a result, they will have to be in the minor league draft, where I have a smaller pool of money and have to utilize a precious spot of my 10 minor leaguers for a guy that is not gonna spend one more day in AAA. Just venting after reading rules and this is one I do not care for. I think we should be able to draft any guy in the minor leagues and the risk is on the team owner. Help me see the downside to that.

I understand what you're saying but I don't think it's a big deal - changes the draft strategy somewhat but we're all playing by the same rules.
And look at it this way, now you can blow your entire $100 minor league budget on Jesus without anyone being able to outbid you!

Larry- If we allowed a free for all for the major draft the minor draft would be crap. Trading minor contracts would suck because owners would own minor stars at aweful major prices . It happened in our last league Example....Travis Snyder $16 , Matt Gamel $9 (this was a few years ago) on n on ... We had little left for the minor draft . We have done this system for several years n this works out great for both drafts . Happy is right ....Bryce Harper $100 , Starsburg $100 , Matt Weiters $100 ...those were minor players taken by a team in our last league . He was stuck . No other propects, no trade peices because of big contacts . Couldnt stick um in the minors if you had a $1 player, you'd be over cap . You be forced to start the clock on the major rosters. George
