Check time stamp on Doumit closing and BJ Upton opening. Should he be allowed to be bidding on any players while he illegally had two players active?

I made this same mistake last year and brought it to the commissioner's attention without the harsh consequences. My understanding of the purpose of the nomination requirement is basically to keep the draft moving. It would not be fair for someone to game the system by nominating multiple players out of turn, but at the same time I don't think there is much harm done when someone inadvertently nominates an extra player. If it is brought to Tuna's attention at the time he makes the mistake, delete the thread and ask him to repost--no harm done. If no one notices it until hours after the fact, I think it does more harm than good to start invalidating bids. There are hundreds of players being nominated; a couple mistakes are bound to happen but on balance everyone seems to be doing a great job.

OK, fair enough. He did outbid on Eaton and Fowler while having two players nominated. Maybe we should ask those owners if they care. Also, I don't mind keeping the draft going. But he wasn't close, he was two hours early. Nothing against you Tuna, mistakes happen. If those owners impacted do not care, it didn't impact me at all.

And Matheson, you have not exhibited the same casual, introspective attitude as last year. I can only attribute this to the caning you received by our members.

I have tried to retrace the bids and nominations and it looks like all bids would be legal except for having an extra player nominated about 2 hours early. Everyone does monitor things pretty well if something is out of the ordinary make a post in the thread to draw attention. Otherwise to rescind bids hours after the fact causes a lot more problems. We appreciate everyones involvement in policing the draft. Thank you Scott
