please pm us if you are planning on spending your $100 on a single player we do not need to know the player at this time. When it comes time for the minor league draft we will have the ones spending their $100 on a player post them in a thread in order of their draft position.

What's the reason for the secrecy? Either someone is going to spend $100 or not. I can't imagine that anyone would be influenced by someone else spending $100. Not that I care, just curious. I mean if LarryB wants to spend $100 on a player, there is not a damn thing I can do about it.

Just so we can get an order . There was another reason but I forgot We should have just went with first come first serve . This is a lot of crap just to keep things fair . Trust me we have dealt with this before .

Look there is no secrecy to it. The minor league draft is very important to the league. These players have less of an escaltor on them and can become very important in the future of your teams. They can allow you to keep some of your higher priced players with larger escalators on them and they are valuable in trades during the season. After you have played this way in a year or two you will really see their value. Especially when you hit gold with one of them like a Strasburg. Unlike the major league draft where you have to fill your complete roster the minor league draft you do not. You can spend $100 on any one player you choose and be done. In the major league draft you have a 12 hour window to get to a computer and see who is on the board knowing that the other teams can not spend their entire cap on a player not giving you a chance to bid on that player. Because this is an internet league we have people from several different places in the world. London, Australia, and Canada not to mention the different time zones that we are in here in the United States. So to give these teams a fair chance in obtaining a player for their entire salary cap without having to wake up in the middle of the night or have to walk out of a business meeting at work or whatever the case maybe to get to a computer and get that time stamp on the player they want. We have set a draft order for the first round of the minor league draft so those teams could put in for their player. There may not even be one team planning on spending $100 on a player and all of this is for not, and we all just nominate and bid just like normal. But past history has shown us that their may be one or two teams that want to spend the money and thought this would be the easiest way to accomadate those teams. If you are not spending the money on one player then you all are making this harder than it needs to be. For the secrecy of it I don't care if it is posted or not. This just allows me to be able to go to those teams in the draft order and ask them what player they are taking so we know who is left that we can't nominate and bid on.

I get the ordering, etc., and I certainly understand how important it is.
I just don't understand why we have to be so secretive on who will be spending $100 on one player. If say Diablos at #6 were to declare he was intending to spend $100 on one player, that doesn't matter to me whatsoever given I know I will not be spending $100. And if say asw were to do the same, well then Diablos can't do anything about it unless he can hope that asw doesn't choose the player Diablos wants with $100. And I'm assuming if you say you plan to $100, you're not required to.
Again, I don't really care that much, but it would be nice to get some idea to plan accordingly. Hell, I don't even care who will be spending $100, just how many teams will be spending $100.

I think if we just went in order of the list on a separate thread where larry states "no" or "yes" along the player he wants, followed by the next team on the list it would be quick and done with. the pm's don't really make sense to me either
just my opinion
